Basil, Spinach, and Walnut Pesto

Ingredients

Makes 1 cup

  • 4 ounces of fresh basil
  • 2 cups of baby spinach
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1½ teaspoons of Himalayan salt
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • ¾ cup walnuts

Preparation

  1. Add everything except walnuts in a blender or food processor. Pulse 5 times. Add walnuts and pulse 5 more times. The consistency should be crumbly, not runny.
  2. Store in refrigerator for up to 5 days.
